U2 bebendo das raízes do rock and roll -------- U2 drinking on the roots of rock and roll

A banda U2 pode também, como David Bowie, ser conhecida como camaleões do rock.
Isto porque, mesmo dentro do rock and roll, eles se inventaram e reinventaram várias vezes.
No final da década de 80 e início da década de 90, a banda estava fascinada pelas raízes do rock and roll e compuseram grandes canções inspiradas no blues do delta. Inclusive contaram com a participação de um ícone do blues - B.B. King - na canção "When love comes to town", do disco Rattle and Hum.
Mas as composições inspiradas no blues, folk and soul norte-americano também estão presentes no disco The Joshua Tree de 1987, grande obra da banda que inclui canções como `"In Gods Country", "Still Haven´t Found What I´m Looking For", dentre outras.

A banda foi formada pelo baterista Larry Mullen Jr. e o nome era "Larry Mullen Jr. Band" e depois passou a ser chamada de "Feedback", aqui vai uma entrevista no Letterman Show em que, dentre outras curiosidades, eles falam sobre estas nomenclaturas dadas à banda.

The band was formed by the drummer Larry Mullen Jr. and the name was  "Larry Mullen Jr. Band" and after was called "Feedback", there it goes a interview on Letterman Show that, with others curiosities, they speak about those originals names of the band.
